Terms of Service

Last updated October 25, 2026

The short version: the $1,800 build fee pays for designing and setting up your website. The website stays online through the $50/month Upkeep Plan, which has a 12-month minimum. If the Upkeep Plan stops being paid or ends, Voltline will take the website offline.

These terms apply to anyone who buys a website or Upkeep Plan from Voltline (run by Travis Schkade). By paying for Voltline's services you agree to these terms. If you also signed a Voltline Website Service Agreement, that agreement applies too.

1. Fees

2. Upkeep Plan and minimum term

The Upkeep Plan is required for your website to stay online. It includes hosting, security and software updates, and small changes on request (such as hours, prices, photos and text). New pages, redesigns and new features are quoted separately.

The Upkeep Plan has a minimum term of 12 months from launch. After that it continues month to month, and either side can end it with 30 days' written notice. If you end the plan before the 12 months are up, the remaining months of the minimum term are still owed.

3. Missed payments and shut-off

4. Ownership

5. Taking your site elsewhere

Instead of the site going offline, you can buy a handoff package. Voltline will send you a copy of the website files and transfer your domain to you. Any amounts still owed, including the rest of the 12-month minimum, must be paid first. After a handoff, Voltline no longer hosts or supports the site. Contact Voltline for the current handoff price.
